Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Assistant Professor to join a reputable higher education institution in Saudi Arabia within the Support Studies division. The role involves contributing to teaching curriculum development and academic support across Computer Science Islamic Studies and Skills-based courses along with engaging in research and student mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate lectures and learning sessions in Computer Science Islamic Studies and Skills-based courses
- Prepare and update course materials assessments and learning outcomes
- Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement of support studies programs
- Supervise student projects and academic assignments
- Engage in research activities and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Support academic advising and student mentorship
- Participate in accreditation quality assurance and program review processes
- Contribute to departmental meetings committees and institutional initiatives
- Promote interdisciplinary learning and applied skill development
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science Islamic Studies Education or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of higher education teaching and/or research experience preferred
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and publication
- Ability or willingness to teach across interdisciplinary support studies courses
- Strong communication and teaching skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Commitment to student-centered teaching and academic development
- Candidates currently based in Saudi Arabia are preferred
