Regional West is seeking motivated high school and alternative education students who are interested in exploring careers in healthcare through a paid work-based learning summer internship. Interns are part-time Regional West employees and will gain hands-on experience in both clinical and non-clinical departments.
The Regional West high school internshipprogram provides high school studentswith a part-time (16 hours per week)eight-week (June 1 to July 24) paidsummer work-based learning internship.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a high school freshman sophomore junior or senior (including alternative education students)
Interested in exploring career options in healthcare
Available to work 16 hours per week for the duration of the program

Interview Process
Interviews will be held in May 2026 and conducted by a team of Regional West leaders.
As part of the application process applicants must select four (4) departments of interest from the list below. Please note that at least one selected department must be a non-clinical department.
Essays should consist of one short paragraph (150300 words).
Essay Topic: Why are you interested in exploring a career in healthcare and what do you hope to learn from this internship experience
