• Install and maintain electrical systems wiring equipment and fixtures according to local and national electrical codes
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards or defects and repair or replace as necessary
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and recommend solutions to customers
• Collaborate with other contractors and workers such as HVAC technicians and plumbers to complete projects
• Install and maintain lighting systems including LED lighting outdoor lighting and emergency lighting
• Install and maintain communication systems such as intercoms and fire alarm systems
• Install and maintain security systems including cameras and access control systems
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints diagrams and schematics
• Follow safety procedures and regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with customers to explain electrical issues and provide estimates for repairs and installations

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems
• Valid electricians license or certification according to state and local regulations
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes safety procedures and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints diagrams and schematics
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials climb ladders and work in confined spaces
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
