Raytheons Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Principal Reliability Engineer. As a Principal Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer you will lead RAM program activities ensuring our products are safe reliable and maintainable while delivered on time. Embedded within the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team you will work across disciplines focused on product support including Reliability System Safety and Supportability supporting the entire product lifecyclefrom conception to deactivation. Your role is pivotal in driving innovation collaboration and technical excellence to ensure mission-critical aerospace and defense systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

What You Will Do

  • Conducting Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) analyses including reliability predictions and maintainability predictions.
  • Performing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses.
  • Defining/allocating RAM requirements.
  • Assessing RAM performance: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF) & Operational Availability (Ao).
  • Interpreting data and analyzing results.
  • Ensuring performance compliance to requirements.
  • Maintaining complex Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system models.
  • Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM work.
  • Tracking Earned Value (EV) and providing accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM scope.
  • Minimal travel (10%) to local Raytheon sites in Northeast area.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Reliability Failure Analysis and/or Quality Engineering.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Reliability Engineering Concepts including knowledge of reliability and maintainability predictions FMECA/FDFI RBDs MTBF/MTBCF Ao.
  • Experience presenting to Failure Review Boards.
  • Electrical Engineering experience Electrical Engineering degree/education preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to present technical material audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
