JOB SUMMARY:
HVAC-R June 2026 Program Director of HVAC-R is an important member of the Colleges instructional team and is responsible for teaching the course objectives for the HVAC-R program including curriculum implementation maintaining a schedule of classes and fostering a culture of professionalism innovation and excellence and continuously monitors and improves instructional quality and student outcomes. Through these efforts the instructor ensures alignment with the colleges mission and enhances its reputation and impact. Additionally the Program Director is responsible for budgets schedules advisory committees recruitment retention and general program management as outlined in the Galveston College Program Director job description.

*QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold at least an associates degree in HVAC-R or a closely-related field and have a minimum of five years relevant industry-specific workforce experience (experience in higher education specifically a community college setting is preferred but not required); In addition the successful candidate must have strong communication skills (written and oral) interpersonal skills organization and time management skills strong computer skills and hold the Universal EPA certification. The aptitude to think outside the box and to work collaboratively with others is essential.
