Registered Nurse (RN) Day/Night Shift
Location: Phoenix AZ (On-site)
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Shift: Day or Night (6:30 AM 6:00 PM / 6:30 PM 6:00 AM)
Schedule: 3640 hours/week (Alternating: 36 hours one week 40 hours the next)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care in a geriatric/skilled nursing setting. This role involves administering medications coordinating resident care and ensuring compliance with clinical standards while supporting residents overall well-being.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment effective communication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed within RN scope of practice
- Perform admission assessments for new residents
- Assist in MDS assessments care plans and quarterly reviews
- Participate in shift reports and communicate resident updates
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Supervise and support nursing assistants and support staff
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and respond to changes in resident condition
- Ensure compliance with federal state and facility regulations
- Participate in care planning and team-based nursing delivery
- Communicate effectively with residents families and care teams
- Participate in training and professional development activities
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or Compact License
- Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts
- Experience or knowledge in geriatric or long-term care
- Strong understanding of medication administration and treatment protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong observational and clinical assessment skills
