Banquet Bartender

Summary

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing high-quality beverage service during private events banquets and Club functions. This role ensures efficient bar setup execution and breakdown while delivering exceptional service to members and guests.

The Banquet Bartender plays a key role in event success by maintaining professionalism adhering to Club standards and executing all bar operations in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

Essential Functions

1. Set up and break down bar stations according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event specifications.

2. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using standard recipes and proper procedures.

3. Ensure all bar areas are clean organized and fully stocked before during and after events.

4. Provide prompt friendly and professional service to members and guests.

5. Interact with guests in a welcoming manner and anticipate beverage needs during events.

6. Maintain compliance with all local and state laws and Club policies regarding alcohol service.

7. Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service at all times.

8. Coordinate with banquet staff and management to ensure seamless event execution.

9. Maintain accurate tracking of bar inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies.

10. Assist with transporting bar supplies glassware and equipment as needed.

11. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in all service areas.

12. Communicate any guest concerns or operational issues to management promptly.

13. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Events Director or Food & Beverage Management.

Environmental Demands

1. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors depending on event location.

2. Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat humidity and cold temperatures.

Physical Demands

1. Extended periods of standing and walking for 513 hours per shift.

2. Frequent lifting and carrying of kegs glassware bar supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.

3. Constant bending reaching and movement during event service.

4. Ability to work nights weekends and holidays based on event schedule.

Intellectual Demands

1. Prior bartending experience required; banquet or event bartending experience preferred.

2. Knowledge of standard drink recipes bar procedures and beverage presentation.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.

5. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions including detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

7. Service-driven mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional member and guest experiences.

8. Basic knowledge of POS systems preferred.
