We an exciting opportunity for a Grade 6 Support Worker to join our Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) Adoption Lancashire & Blackpool.

  • Blackburn with Darwen Council

About the Role

This post is based within Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool (Regional Adoption Agency RAA) with a need to work within the legislation adoption agencies regulations and national minimum adoption standards at all times.

The successful candidate may provide flexible and practical support across Adoption Lancashire and Blackpools three core teamsRecruitment and Assessment Family Finding and Adoption Support.

The role may contribute to:

  • Recruitment and Assessment: Supporting the recruitment training and preparation of prospective adopters including assisting with information events and pre-approval activities.
  • Family Finding: Supporting family finding social workers with matching adoptive families for children with care plans of adoption supporting and attending events such as local regional and national activity days.
  • Adoption Support: Assisting in the delivery of post-adoption support including facilitating groups events and participation initiatives that strengthen our adoption community and promote positive outcomes for children and families.

The Support Worker will play a key role in ensuring services are accessible inclusive and responsive to the needs of children and families throughout their adoption journey.

There may be some out-of-hours work involved with this post.

This position is part time please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent the salary received will be paid on a prorata basis.
