A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Essential Functions
Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given. Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and
ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support need.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Adherence to all core measure initiatives patient safety goals and NQF Safe Practices.
What we are looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license.
Bachelors degree preferred but not required
Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS required
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be competent in EKG/dysrhythmia recognition competent in care of the open heart/vascular/thoracic patient (> 12 hours post procedure) patients s/p cardiac intervention (sheath management) internal and external pacemakers vasoactive medications central lines and respiratory compromise.
