Position: Fayette County Workforce Development CoordinatorLocation: Southern Ohio Educational Service Center Assigned to Serve in Fayette County OhioGeneral Description:Under administrative direction the Workforce Development Coordinator will work with the Fayette County Workforce Development Steering Committee the Southern Ohio ESC Business Advisory Council (including the Fayette County BAC) and partnering school districts businesses and community partners to:Develop the talent pipeline;Engage with the current workforce local employers and education providers;Coordinate the efforts of the Fayette County Workforce Development Steering Committee and Fayette County Business Advisory Council (BAC);Provide a wide view of the current workforce development landscape for community agencies organizations businesses and schools;Marshal community resources to increase partnering school districts capacities for the number of students reached and the impact on businesses and the local workforce; andExpand funding opportunities through grant applications and other sources to allow the program to continue to the 2026-2027 school year primary responsibilities of the Fayette County Workforce Development Coordinator include:Strengthening relationships with local business/employer partners (through the continued development refinement and deployment of a business directory); andEnhancing student experiences (including job shadowing and internship programming) and exposure to local career Workforce Development Coordinator will work closely with staff in each school district in Fayette County (including school counselors work study coordinators and career technical education staff) and will meet with appropriate school staff on a regular basis to identify needs and help provide career exploration/workforce development support to students in the Fayette County school the strength sustainability and credibility of the program it is vital that this position be accountable to stakeholders in both the education and business :Bachelors degree in education or a business-related (or be willing to attain) and maintain the required valid Ohio State Board of Education license or to five years of workforce development and/or project management experience preferred.K-16 education and/or business experience proven success in working with educators businesses local government officials service providers and community development pass a criminal background and maintain a valid drivers license and reliable DescriptionHourly Rate: $38.00/hourHours Per Week: 24 hours a week (6 paid hours a day 4 days a week)Assigned Days: As Needed; August through June with some flexibility for some summer workApplication Deadline: Until FilledAnticipated Start Date: August 2026 (with the intention of some transition and onboarding hours worked in June/July 2026)Interested applicants should send a letter of interest resume three professional references and a copy of any credentials to:Casey Enochs Assistant SuperintendentSouthern Ohio Educational Service Center3321 Airborne Road Wilmington Ohio 45177Email: : ext. 1039Southern Ohio Educational Service Center provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race color religion age sex national origin disability status genetics protected veteran status sexual orientation gender identity or expression of any other characteristic protected by federal state or local laws.
