The role
The Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall supply chain management and includes organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. Managing the Warehouse Supervisor and office clerks responsible for year-end physical inventory and managing the flow of information and paperwork to ensure timely shipping and compliance.
As a Logistics Manager at IPL you will:
Strategically plan and manage logistics warehouse transportation and customer service.
Direct optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
Liaise and negotiate with transportation companies to produce the best rates.
Keep track of quality quantity stock levels delivery times transport costs and efficiency.
Arrange warehouse catalog goods plan routes and process shipments.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
Supervise coach and train warehouse workforce.
Meet cost productivity accuracy and timeliness targets.
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Comply with laws regulations and ISO requirements.
Oversee management of all freight systems.
Maintains all files and records related to shipping operations.
Coordinate all Receiving functions.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
What you will bring to the role:
BS in Business Administration Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager.
Demonstrate ability to lead and manage staff.
Proficient in standard logistics software
- Prior work experience with WMS systems and use of RFF scanners a plus.
- Prior experience with UPS and FedEx systems a plus.
- Ability to navigate the TMS or Uber Freight system to negotiate transportation.
Ability to read speak and understand English.
Ability to safely operate a forklift certification provided on-site
Reliability and good attendance is imperative
Ability to communicate effectively with shipping staff multiple departments and carriers/vendors
Time management planning and organization skills
Strong attention to detail Ability to work as a team and maintain good working relationships with co-workers
Math aptitude ability to add subtract multiply and divide
