Main Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through prospecting cold calling networking and following up on leads from marketing and partners.
- Conduct on-site consultations and product demonstrations for homeowners builders and designers to assess needs and propose tailored home technology solutions.
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals present pricing and value and close sales while maintaining professional follow-through.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities using the company CRM and maintain timely accurate documentation of all customer interactions.
- Coordinate with operations estimating and field teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and on-time installations.
- Attend trade shows builder meetings and community events to promote HomePro and build strategic relationships.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the sales territory.
- Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about industry trends new technologies and competitive offerings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Necessary Skills & Abilities
- Proven outside sales experience preferably in residential services construction home automation or related industries.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders including homeowners builders and designers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads appointments and follow-ups efficiently.
- Comfortable presenting technical information in clear customer-friendly terms.
- Self-motivated goal-oriented and able to work independently in the field.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office software (email spreadsheets presentations).
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel throughout assigned territory.
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required; college coursework or degree in business marketing or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience; experience selling residential technology electrical services or construction-related products is a strong plus.
