Chemistry Teaching Role in a Selective Grammar School
A grammar school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking to appoint a Chemistry Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is a full-time teaching role within a high-achieving environment where students demonstrate strong academic engagement and interest in the sciences.

About the Role
You will be responsible for teaching Chemistry across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Lessons will focus on developing strong subject knowledge across core chemistry topics including atomic structure chemical reactions bonding energetics and organic chemistry.
Practical laboratory work forms a key part of the curriculum allowing students to develop investigative skills and apply theoretical knowledge in structured experiments.
You will support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations helping them develop accuracy in calculations analytical skills and exam technique.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Chemistry across KS3 KS4 and KS5

Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
