Job Summary

The Opportunity We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Woking. This is a full-time long-term role designed for an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping students with additional needs reach their full potential.

Your Role As an LSA you will be the bridge between the curriculum and the learner. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

  • Providing targeted support to small groups or individual students with diverse learning needs including ASD ADHD and dyslexia.

  • Implementing specialized interventions such as Phonics catch-up Lego Therapy or social skills groups.

  • Monitoring student engagement and adjusting tasks to ensure they are accessible yet challenging.

  • Supporting the Class Teacher with classroom management and the preparation of sensory or visual resources.

  • Assisting with the tracking of progress against Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children ideally in a school or care setting.

  • Mindset: A patient proactive and empathetic approach to student support.

  • Communication: The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Qualifications: A Level 3 TA qualification or a degree in Psychology/Education is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong relevant experience.

  • Reliability: A commitment to the consistency that SEN students require for their development.

Position Details

  • Location: Woking Surrey.

  • Contract: Full-time MondayFriday (Term-time only).

  • Start Date: Immediate or September 2026.

  • Pay: 90 105 per day dependent on experience.
