A leading highly collaborative law firm is seeking a Counsel (7 10 years experience) with deep expertise in LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) transactional work. In this role you will lead complex deals from structuring through closing working closely with developers investors and internal teams. You will be trusted to manage transactions independently mentor junior team members and play a key role in shaping high-impact projects that directly support the development and preservation of affordable housing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex LIHTC transactions from inception through closing
Represent developers and owners in affordable housing matters
Structure and negotiate property acquisitions dispositions joint ventures development and financing transactions
Supervise and mentor junior team members on deal execution
Draft review and negotiate sophisticated transactional documents
Collaborate closely with internal teams clients and external stakeholders
Ensure efficient execution of transactions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
7 10 years of experience in sophisticated transactional LIHTC work
Proven experience representing owners/developers of affordable housing
Demonstrated ability to independently run a deal and manage deal teams
Strong background in acquisitions/dispositions joint ventures development and financing transactions
Excellent academic credentials
Strong drafting negotiation and document review skills
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
