We are seeking an experienced Dietary Cook / Multi-Skilled Worker I (MSW I) with a strong background in hospital or healthcare food service. This role is responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals for patients staff and visitors while adhering to dietary guidelines and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of food items including soups meats vegetables and desserts according to standardized recipes
- Ensure meals meet patient dietary requirements and restrictions
- Assist in food preparation for large-scale meal production in a hospital setting
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food service areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards preferred)
- Support meal tray assembly and delivery to patients staff and visitors
- Monitor food quality temperature and portion control
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff and healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment
- Mandatory: Prior experience in hospital dietary or healthcare food service
- Experience with large-scale or institutional cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP preferred)
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and dietary instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience working in patient-focused food service environments
- Familiarity with special diets (e.g. diabetic cardiac renal)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Fast-paced hospital kitchen setting
- Requires standing for long periods and handling hot equipment
- May involve lifting and transporting food items
