The organization operates 805 long-term care beds and 308 seniors apartment units with an additional 224 long-term care beds opening in a new home by June 2026. In addition Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care a hospice residence and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Through this comprehensive network the organization serves more than 15000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.

Under the direction of the Facility Manager responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry tasks in an efficient and cooperative manner and with due consideration for the needs and comfort of the residents.

Qualifications:

• Able to perform heavy lifting tasks and visual acuity for inspecting linens and to ensure cleaning tasks are performed to standard

• Some experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset

• Excellent customer service skills

• Must be comfortable using computer/phone applications

• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English. Ability to communicate in Chinese an asset.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Considerable lifting pushing pulling standing walking and bending

• Exposed to chemicals body waste garbage

• Shift work
