Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a busy obstetrics unit in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in both labor and postpartum care and be comfortable managing a range of patient needs throughout the perinatal process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being including fetal heart rate monitoring
- Assist with labor management and deliveries
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Float between like units as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Required experience in both labor and postpartum care
- Active state RN license required at time of submission
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate
- Preferred Certification:
- AWHONN Advanced
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong clinical skills
