Team purpose
The Finance Business Partnering team is responsible for providing quality strategic insight and effective finance partnering to key stakeholders across the Save the Children International Global Teams to drive quality financial and business outcomes.
Rolepurpose
The role holder willsupport inproviding finance business partnering and high qualitymanagement information to Liftlab and other Innovation Incubators in order to enable the organisation to deliver high quality outcomes for children. It will also provide support toeffective finance business partnering acrossrelevantGlobal Teams.

Principal Accountabilities
Business Partnering support to Liftlab and other Innovation Incubators (60%) other Global teams (40%)
- Support the development of annual budgets and reforecasts by working closely with assigned budget holders including ensuring adequate cost coverage across funding sources (unrestricted & donor funding)
- Provide meaningful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisionmaking.
- Review budget vs actual reports (BVAs) for errors & omissions ; support budget holders to monitor the BVAs and provide analysis on variances against funding sources. Resolve queries from budget holders regarding financial transactions.
- Ensure accuracy completeness and timeliness of ledger postings including recharges reallocation journals accruals and prepayments.
- Process and submit invoices for services provided to external vendors.
- Assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with financial management for Advocacy Offices.
- Review costs received from members and coordinate with focal persons to ensure accurate charging to the correct codes and relevant accounting periods.
- Review the costs received through bypass process and reallocate them to the appropriate codes.
- Liaise with HR to obtain annual leave data and post monthly leave accruals.
- Support audits provide cover for senior finance staff and undertake additional finance duties as required.
Experience and Skills
Essential
finance work experience in a Chartered Accounting Commercial or NGO environment.
2. Strong time management skills with an ability to plan ahead anticipate requirements and obstacles and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully and to work to tight deadlines in a high-pressure organisation.
3. Well-developed analytical skills and business partnering skills(including budgeting and forecasting).
4. Good IT literacy including expertise in spread sheet modelling.
5. Ability to liaise remotely with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility tact and diplomacy.
6. Ability to be proactive and logical in problem-solving scenarios.
7. Thorough high attention to detailtakes pride in delivering accuratetimely andhigh-quality work
8. A good understanding of financial systems and procedures.
9. Conscientious and client focussed.
10. Experience of balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
11. Experience of donor reporting
Desirable
- Experienced in a multi-currency Finance environment
Education and Qualifications
Essential
Part-qualified AAT-ACA CIMA CPA or equivalent or relevant experience
