The role is within our School of AppliedSciences and Technology. The School offers a variety of programminginFine Arts Humanities and SocialSciencesSciences and Animal Health Technology. Through this programmingwe offer a variety of certificates diplomas university transfer coursesas well as a degree in computingscience.

The Role

The Humanities and SocialSciences Department requires aPoliticalScienceInstructor to teach the following courses

• PO1010 Introduction toPoliticalStudies Ideas and Forms of Government

Course descriptions are available at part-time sessional position will commence on August 15 2026. Course delivery is asynchronous online.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

An MA inPoliticalScienceis required with a PhD preferred. Evidence of successful instruction of undergraduate courses inPoliticalScienceis an asset. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles;

Knowledge of current educational technologies (e.g. videoconferencing learning management systems) is desired;

Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions 94 Calls to Action;

The ability to teach both online and classroom-based courses;

Student-focused;

Strong organizational skills;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and

A high level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
