In alignment with the Global Engineering strategy and in close coordination with cross-functional teams this role leads defines and organizes engineering activities for the assigned location(s).The role is accountable for ensuring the engineering team complies with EHS requirements and company policies. It also owns the productivity performance and development of the local engineering team building a high-performing organization with the technical capabilities needed to achieve engineering objectives.
In partnership with Engineering Centers of Excellence (CoEs) this role is responsible for supporting people development performance evaluation and technical feedback.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Lead and organize engineering activities for the location across Order to Remittance (OTR) and services
Deploy and implement global engineering strategies processes and best practices at the local level.
Ensure the engineering team consistently complies with EHS requirements and company regulations.
Lead local team members associated with the CoEs including people development performance evaluation technical coaching.
Manage local cost centers related to Engineering CoE activities.
Drive the engineering feedback and lessons-learned process to support continuous improvement.
Develop and strengthen the technical expertise of the local engineering team.
Organize and support troubleshooting activities during project execution.
Coordinate and manage technical communications with local customers.
Work closely with local Sourcing to support & resolve urgent technical issues.

Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
Demonstrated experience in hydro generator design and in leading engineering teams.
Professional working proficiency in English.
Strong technical understanding of engineering design.
Relevant professional experience in engineering or related functions.
Significant experience working in a global matrix organization.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Proven leadership and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical capabilities and a strategic mindset.
