If their shift is extended due to census or a case running over they will be paid at their regular rate until they go into overtime. They should not be clocking out and back in for any shifts that run over or are be aware that travelers are not paid the same as Core staff members at Nebraska Medicine as Core staff are incentivized differently. The Core Staff policy does not apply to travelers and travelers will only be paid call-back when placed on-call after their shift has ended; they have left the facility and are called-back. If they have questions while on assignment please direct them to their agency to discuss their pay. Work week is Monday-Sunday. 100% Nicotine Free Facility Nicotine is not included in the drug screen; however if facility suspects any nicotine use traveler contract is at risk for immediate termination. Nebraska RN License takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; therefore if Nebraska RN license is not IN HAND at time of submission traveler will have a start date six weeks out. Must provide proof within 48 hours - tracking is required Nebraska Radiology/Respiratory Licenses are taking up to 8 weeks to issue. All applicants must have at least applied for the license at time of submission. Must provide proof within 48 hours - tracking is required RRT and Radiology - Please do not submit candidates with license hits Local Rule: Traveler must be more than 100 miles from facility. Locals NOT accepted. Requested Time Off (RTO): RTO must be included at time of submission. Any RTO post-confirmation may be denied. Please ensure RTO on submission email and profile match. Medical Surgical nursing units allow up to two weeks of RTO. Orientation: No RTO during the first week of orientation. Travelers must attend a MANDATORY charting class the Friday of orientation week unless told otherwise by their unit/department manager. Scrubs: MANDATORY RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once the traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts in their company store that can be worn in lieu of branded scrubs. OR scrubs are provided by facility. Weekend/Holiday Requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in an 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night. Doc Due Date: Compliance document deadline is the Tuesday prior to start by 4 PM CST Labs: Travelers must go into labs within 48-72 hours from accepting offer.
