Estimator / Project Manager Heavy Civil Construction

We are seeking an Estimator/Project Managerto lead project deliveryfrom pre-construction through closeout. Youll work closely with clients engineers and internal teams to ensure bids are competitive and execution is seamless.

Successful Team Members in This Role Will

• Lead the full lifecycle of infrastructure projectsfrom estimating and bidding through scheduling and execution
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor materials equipment and subcontractors
• Submit competitive bid proposals and support business development strategy
• Collaborate with superintendents and field teams to maintain schedule budget and safety compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients subcontractors and vendors throughout the project
• Monitor project performance track progress and manage change orders
• Identify and mitigate risk factors affecting scope cost or timelines
• Ensure quality standards contract compliance and regulatory requirements are met
• Maintain accurate reporting for internal leadership and client stakeholders

A Day in the Life of an Estimator/Project Manager:

• Start the day reviewing bid opportunities or current project status updates
• Attend pre-bid walkthroughs or project site visits as needed
• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes
• Lead client calls or internal progress meetings
• Manage submittals RFIs and coordination with project engineers
• Monitor budget and prepare forecast updates
• Wrap up by updating bid files or project reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management and/or estimating
• Experience delivering paving and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g. Procore HCSS Primavera MS Project)
• Strong understanding of construction means/methods sequencing and cost control
• Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills
