Job Summary

The Mainframe Modernisation Pre-Sales Solution Architect provides technical pre-sales support for a leading global technology services providers mainframe application modernisation and refactoring solutions helping enterprises modernise and migrate mainframe workloads to cloud-based platforms.

This is a customer-facing role requiring deep technical expertise in mainframe systems alongside modern cloud-native architectures. The Solution Architect works closely with sales teams prospects partners and internal stakeholders to effectively position enterprise-grade modernisation solutions.

What Will Your Job Look Like

  • Working closely with sales teams to shape and support customer conversations

  • Engaging with customers to understand their existing mainframe environments and business objectives

  • Designing and positioning end-to-end modernisation and cloud migration solutions

  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations demonstrations and solution walkthroughs

  • Collaborating with delivery engineering and product teams to define the optimal modernisation approach

  • Supporting deal scoping and helping define realistic value-driven modernisation roadmaps

  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the entire pre-sales lifecycle

All You Need Is

  • 3 years of experience with a modernisation company systems integrator or hyperscaler

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect or technical consultant

  • Strong knowledge of mainframe applications and data technologies

  • Solid understanding of modern Java and/ architectures deployed on cloud platforms

  • Experience creating and presenting technical pre-sales materials
