Job Summary
Description
Responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery equipment and building systems. Their work helps keep the facility safe efficient and fully operational.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repairs installs and maintains machinery equipment physical structures and pipe/electrical systems in commercial or industrial facilities.
- Follows specifications blueprints manuals and schematic drawings using hand tools power tools hoists cranes and measuring/testing instruments.
- Inspects and tests machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic diagnostic tools.
- Identifies malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discussing operational issues with supervisors or maintenance staff.
- Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts according to specifications and blueprints using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts bearings gears and other machine components using rags brushes and grease guns.
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility.
- Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts when needed.
- Fabricates and repairs counters benches partitions and other wooden structures as required.
Qualifications:
- GED or high school diploma.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic math skills such as adding subtracting multiplying and dividing.
