About the Role
The Quality Engineer based in Hayes will be responsible for ensuring products meet strict aerospace and manufacturing quality requirements. The role involves hands-on inspection use of precision measurement tools and supporting first article and compliance documentation within a busy production environment in Hayes.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out detailed inspection of machined and manufactured components in Hayes
Use precision measuring equipment including verniers micrometers height gauges and other inspection tools
Operate and interpret results from CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections
Compile and review AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Support incoming in-process and final inspection activities across production in Hayes
Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with aerospace and customer quality standards in Hayes
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
About You
The ideal Quality Engineer for this Hayes role will have:
Strong experience in inspection within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Confident use of gauges verniers micrometers and inspection tools
Understanding of AS9102 and experience producing FAIRs
Experience using CMM equipment (programming or operation)
Strong attention to detail and methodical working approach
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Experience in quality assurance or inspection in Hayes or similar environments
