About the Role
The Quality Engineer based in Hayes will be responsible for ensuring products meet strict aerospace and manufacturing quality requirements. The role involves hands-on inspection use of precision measurement tools and supporting first article and compliance documentation within a busy production environment in Hayes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed inspection of machined and manufactured components in Hayes
- Use precision measuring equipment including verniers micrometers height gauges and other inspection tools
- Operate and interpret results from CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections
- Compile and review AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Support incoming in-process and final inspection activities across production in Hayes
- Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and customer quality standards in Hayes
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
About You
The ideal Quality Engineer for this Hayes role will have:
- Strong experience in inspection within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Confident use of gauges verniers micrometers and inspection tools
- Understanding of AS9102 and experience producing FAIRs
- Experience using CMM equipment (programming or operation)
- Strong attention to detail and methodical working approach
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Experience in quality assurance or inspection in Hayes or similar environments
