Responsibilities
This role defines and executes the Associations enterprise strategy for clinical products and platforms translating trusted science into computable licensable and AI-ready clinical assets. It owns the clinical product roadmap across computable guidelines intelligent data and platform delivery while serving as executive steward for governance IP protection and responsible AI use. The role enables scalable partnerships and AI licensing while ensuring the Association not third-party platforms defines how its science is translated into clinical practice.
Enterprise Clinical Product Strategy
- Define and implement the enterprise strategy for clinical products and platforms. Ensure computable guidelines intelligent data and AI delivery align with the Associations science or equivalent experience education and commercialization priorities.
Clinical Product Ownership
- Lead the endtoend clinical product roadmap including AIenabled access embedded clinical decision support and future platform capabilities.
Computable Science Transformation
- Own the conversion of narrative guidelines and scientific statements into structured auditable machinereadable clinical logic and reusable data assets.
AI Licensing Enablement
- Enable scalable AI and platform licensing by ensuring clinical products are integrationready clearly scoped auditable and enforceable.
Governance & Risk Stewardship
- Serve as executive owner of clinical content governance scientific integrity IP protection and responsible AI use.
Platform & Team Leadership
- Lead all aspects of clinical content platforms and infrastructure while leading a multidisciplinary team and partnering crossfunctionally to translate Association science into practice
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Eight (8) years of leadership experience in clinical products digital health health IT or evidence-based content platforms
- Experience working with clinical informatics and translating clinical evidence into structured or computable formats (e.g. CDS guidelines algorithms pathways)
- Deep understanding of data governance and quality in digital or AI-enabled environments
- Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of science technology and commercialization
- Experience with AI-enabled clinical products CDS systems or EHR integrations
- Familiarity with content licensing models IP considerations or platform-based revenue strategies
- Background working with or within medical societies publishers or guideline-producing organizations
- Experience building or governing enterprise content platforms or clinical data infrastructure
Compensation & Benefits
Salary minimum to the midpoint of the range is $138100.00 to $184500.00. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply to the pay range. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
