Our client is a global leader in sustainable specialty materials serving the food healthcare construction filtration medical and other industries. With over $3 billion in revenue and 7000 employees the company is well positioned for continued growth.

They are seeking an experienced U.S. Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team in Kaukauna Wisconsin. This role reports to the General Counsel and will support both domestic and international matters.

The U.S. Senior Legal Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor to the Food and Consumer Packaging division one of the companys five major business units and will play a key role in managing corporate and litigation matters while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to the division ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including sales confidentiality distribution procurement and agency agreements.
  • Manage claims and disputes including drafting settlement agreements and coordinating with external counsel.
  • Conduct training sessions for commercial teams on legal topics such as trade compliance and contract guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Legal Counsel supporting international operations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed in Wisconsin or eligible to practice as in-house counsel in Wisconsin.
  • 7 years of relevant legal experience ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the specialty materials or paper industry is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while effectively partnering across global teams and cultural differences.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: around $180000 depending on experience.
  • Short-term incentive bonus program.
