Job Summary
Position: Ripleys Cafe Supervisor (1 Part -Time and 1 Full -Time Positions)
Facility: Ripleys Aquarium of Canada Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Job Purpose:Ripleys Cafe is a fun and fast paced environment here at Ripleys Aquarium of Canada. Ripleys Cafe Supervisors provide world class Guest Service to all our Guests here at Ripleys Aquarium of Canada. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager The Supervisor will oversee the daily operation of the department by providing support and assisting in the successful operation and sales of the Food and Beverage department. This is a great opportunity to gain and develop Leadership experience at Torontos number one tourist attraction!
Please remember that due to the nature of our business we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year! You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during before or after these hours of operation.
Critical Accountabilities:
- Oversee daily operations including managing cash compliant with health regulations controlling inventory meeting daily sales goals monitoring waste delegating responsibilities to Front and Back of House team members.
- Help to develop implement and maintain new and existing programs and procedures.
- Resolving issues as they arise and communicate these with Associates Management and other departments as and when needed.
- Recognizing when to assist with floor staff providing support to them where needed and ensuring that the team meets sales goals.
- Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager with hiring and training new staff.
- Addressing Guest complaints and resolving operational issues in real time.
- Maintaining accurate count of inventory ordering supplies and controlling food cost.
- Completing daily paperwork.
- Other duties as required to support operational goals.
Special Skills and Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of food and safety standards food handling and sanitation practices in accordance to the Ontario regulations that govern food premises.
- Exemplary punctuality and time keeping skills.
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively is essential.
- Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings weekends early mornings and holidays.
- Must be available to work a minimum of three shifts a week.
- Reliable with high integrity and strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Proactive organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
- Outgoing friendly and Guest oriented!
Pay Rate:$21.75/hourly
