Site Technician
Altera Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Technician to join a leading engineering service provider in the water and infrastructure sector. This hands-on role involves the installation servicing refurbishment and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment with a focus on valves actuators and related systems. The position requires travel across the designated region working in varied outdoor environments and maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Install service repair and commission mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with agreed method statements.
Accurately record details measurements and descriptions of components requiring replacement.
Travel to multiple sites daily with occasional overnight stays based on project requirements.
Contribute to the preparation of RAMS and other health and safety documentation.
Maintain accurate work records timesheets expenses and reports to company standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in the installation servicing and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations with the ability to work safely in diverse environments.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team supporting junior colleagues where necessary.
Excellent communication and organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
