Position Summary
MultiCare Health System is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our well-established thriving and comprehensive Ob/Gyn practice. - Provideprenatal intrapartum and postpartum careto women and their newborns.
- Conductroutine gynecological exams including Pap smears and breast exams.
- Offerfamily planning servicesand contraceptive counseling.
- Assist withlabor and delivery including natural and medically assisted births.
- Monitor thehealth of mother and babyduring and after childbirth.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate with OB-GYNs pediatricians and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients onreproductive health childbirth preparation and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and detailedmedical records.
- Advocate forholistic patient-centered careand support maternal mental health
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licenseandAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)license in Washington State.
- Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery program
- Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (or its predecessor the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council) or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which he or she is eligible
- Clinical experience inobstetrics gynecology or womens health.
- Strong interpersonal communication and decision-making skills.
- DEA NPI & Prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package including competitive salary medical dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $191000.00 - $198600.00 USD. However pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants including but not limited to: skill set level of experience and certification(s) and/or education.
