The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Hancock State Prison provides direct patient care and supports daily clinical operations within a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment. QualificationsKey Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN or provider
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Assist with intake sick call and chronic care clinics
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Follow all clinical protocols safety procedures and facility policies
Qualifications (Required)
- Active LPN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
- Current CPR certification (must be active)
- Experience in one or more of the following preferred: Behavioral Health ER Med-Surg or Correctional Healthcare
- Strong clinical communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a structured environment
