Key job responsibilities
Drive regulatory competition matters at EU level and in Germany including integrated partnership with the local legal teams.
Advise the business and legal colleagues on competition-related matters across all Amazon businesses.
Help shape the companys long-term strategy on high impact and often novel issues.
Think Big and look around corners to spot issues and identify developments of relevance for the Amazon business.
Partner with our public policy team and engage with regulators and policy makers on a broad range of issues.
Contribute as a member of the EU Competition team to develop mechanisms for training compliance and cross-functional coordination.

- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Fully qualified lawyer with outstanding academic and legal qualifications
- 5 years of experience in EU and German competition law
- Experience in independently managing competition related regulatory matters with deep demonstrated experience in the EU and Germany.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in German and English as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization.

- Experience managing projects and working independently
- Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
- A team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of humor who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with lawyers and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
