Job Summary
As assigned by Special Education Director;
Implement the Special Educational assessment process.
Assess the educational learning styles and program needs of students referred to special education services.
Educational Requirements:
Masters Degree
Certificate/License Requirements:
Valid Texas Certification in any of the following: Educational Diagnostician Certification Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
Experience Requirements:
Classroom Teacher ARD IEP and Formal Assessment Experience working with special needs individuals in an educational setting.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
Organizational skills Good communication Interpretation of Assessment Data Special Education Regulations Ability to work with a team in collaborative manner
Physical/Mental Demands:
Carrying large files and technology from campus to campus must be physically and mentally capable of working with active mentally and behaviorally challenged students.
