Job Summary

Details:

This position is responsible for producing accurate structural drawings and translating engineering designs into clear buildable plans. The Drafter manages multiple projects coordinates across teams and ensures alignment between drawings calculations and client requirements. This role also supports quality control and continuous improvement of drafting standards tools and workflows.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce detailed structural and construction drawings using AutoCAD (or similar software)
Translate engineering markups redlines and design criteria into finalized plans
Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes standards and company practices
Manage assigned projects from kickoff through final engineering deliverables
Track project status deadlines and priorities across multiple jobs
Coordinate with Engineering Project Managers Procurement and drafting teams
Revise drawings based on internal reviews and client feedback
Support development of drafting standards workflows and best practices
Assist with implementation of new tools (e.g. 3D modeling Tekla automation)

Details:

QUAIFICATIONS

AA or Bachelors Degree in engineering drafting or related field
3 - 5 years of drafting experience (structural or construction preferred)
Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D or Tekla is a plus)
Strong understanding of structural and construction practices

Hourly rate: $23-$33/hr DOE
