We currently have an opening for a Shipping Supervisor in our Troy Location.

• Purpose: Under the direction of the Shipping Manager the 3rd shift shipping supervisor will manage the shipping receiving staging storing inventory delivery and loading of inventory items along with securing the shipping receiving and warehousing areas and supervising staff. This is for the 3rd shift.
• The 3rd shift shipping hours are Monday to Thursday - 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Friday 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
• Dimensions:Responsible for directing hourly shipping and receiving personnel. This position will interface with Clopay management. This position has departmental budget responsibilities.

• Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

• Safety of personnel quality and security of product.
• Arrive before shift start time to meet with the prior shift supervisor and to prepare for the incoming shift.
• Lead delegate and motivate employees
• Keep the shipping docks warehouse areas staging area(s) and all storage areas in a clean orderly and safe manner. Instruct coordinators loaders material handlers and equipment operators on the safe handling of material
• Verify all outgoing products and shipments to customers ensuring accurate quantity counts and general quality.
• Manage inventory by properly handling staging and shipping finished goods coordinating inventory transfers with internal departments
• Driving continuous improvement projects and formulating recommendations to improve product flow and appropriate equipment
• Implements identified safety quality and productivity initiatives
• Select train coach counsel and discipline employees as needed
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and document appropriately
• Plan monitor and appraise employees by completing regular reviews of employees along with annual EPPR to be submitted to the manager
• Accomplish staging shipping and organization mission by completing related reports as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervision Received:Must be a self-starter capable of operating with limited supervision.
• Supervision Given:Supervises approximately 35 hourly employees over a shift operation.

• a)Education:Bachelors degree in operations management supply chain management or related field or comparable experience is preferred.

• b)Experience:5 years experience in leading a team in a manufacturing environment is required. Excellent leadership finished goods inventory control skills organization dependability and communication are required. Reporting and analysis skills are required.
