Senior Service Engineer

CloudFit Software is looking foraqualifiedSeniorService Engineer thathavethe experience and passion to design deploy andoperatecustomer solutions. These solutions include a combination of Commercial off-the-shelf open-source and cloud-native technologies. The job will involve learningnew technologies interacting with client stakeholders and designing new or retrofitting old enclaves to meet the ever-evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Design cloud-native solutions using Azure and AWS technologies
• Take accountability for past and future technical implementations working to modernize and improve their capability to meet the customers needs
• Grow professional skill set regularly and quantifiably
• Transform customer business requirements into definable technological architecture
• Professional accountability on product feature area from requirement gathering through continued operations
• Engage in company culture through active participation in regular meetings and customer reviews
• Apply and Create company and industry best standards for software usage system administration and design security and network management
• Encourage and take accountability for reducing toil through automation
• Support the customer via on-call rotations for production workloads whenrequired
• Adjust to the needs of the customer and project whilemaintaininga culture of serving and gratitude
• Travel to support customers in air-gapped environments

What makes you the perfect fit for this role:

• Strong infrastructure-as-code (IAC) skillset and ability to create document and explain Bicep templates to team members
• Strong understanding of automation and DevOps principles including familiarity with at leastone tool such as: Azure DevOps GitLab GitHub Actions Atlassian (Confluence/Jira) or similar.
• Proven experience and understanding of Azureplatform includingcompute(IaaS App Servicecontainers etc.) network and data storage options (storage accounts database messaging etc.)
• Experience withKubernetes administrationand app deployment includingconcepts such asGitOps(via FluxArgo etc.) statefulsetscluster networking Kubernetes Administratordesirable butnotrequired.
• Understanding of and ability to createdemonstrateand explain cloud architecture designs to both colleagues and customers based on industry best-practice guidance ( Cloud Adoption Framework or similar)
• Understanding of and experience building enterprisecloud enclaves includingknowledge of hub/spoke networkingplatform governance throughAzure Policy andleast-privileges RBAC/IAM practices
• Experience withadministering Linux and Windows systemsvia CLI such as Bash and/or PowerShell
• Understanding ofsource-code management tooling such as Git as well asrelated concepts such as branching mergingpull requests (PRs) etc.
• Desire to mentorother engineerson the above

Some nice haves (but notrequired):

• Technical certifications in Sec Azure Cloud Security and DevOps

The salary range for this role is$125k- $175kbenefits &perks.

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that wouldbe applicableto the position. Final salary will becommensuratewith the candidates final level and location. Also the rangerepresentssalary only and does not include our total rewards package.
