Job Summary
This position has already been filled via Rutgers Summer Service Internship Program. The applicant has already interviewed and been directly referred by Rutgers.
The intern will engage with our staff at our agency to identify needs barriers and resources needed by our population/community. The intern will engage in efforts to obtain grants or fundraising to assist the agency with meeting the needs of the clients served.
- Learning Goal One: Intern will develop presentation skills by creating a presentation for staff at the end of their internship to summarize key trends resources and relevant information
- Learning Goal Two: The intern will practice professional communication with agency staff as well as local community resources.
- Learning Goal Three: The intern will practice project management and time management skills by completing assigned weekly tasks.
- Responsibility One: Work with agency leadership staff to identify needs of the community served.
- Responsibility Two: Identify and apply for available funding opportunities and donations to support clients with basic needs and transportation to treatment.
- Responsibility Three: The intern would be responsible for proactively finding different grants from nonprofits and local governments and drafting grant proposals.
- Responsibility Four: Educating staff on available funding opportunities.
- The intern will engage with our staff at our agency to identify needs barriers and resources needed by our population/community (for example needs related to food insecurity barriers to engaging in treatment transportation and other expenses). The intern will engage in efforts to obtain grants or fundraising to assist the agency with meeting the needs of the clients served.
