Job Summary

The Sr Product Engineer at Jabil Inc. will be responsible for leading product development and sustaining engineering activities ensuring product quality performance and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and participate in the design development and validation of new products and product enhancements from concept to mass production.
Conduct detailed engineering analysis including FMEAs DFM/DFA and tolerance stack-ups to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D manufacturing quality supply chain and IT to define product requirements specifications and test plans.
Serve as a key technical contributor within SAP-driven product and manufacturing workflows supporting agile execution and SCRUM-based project structures.
Leverage Procore or similar project management platforms to support cross-functional coordination documentation and execution for complex engineering projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to product design materials manufacturing processes and power distribution systems.
Develop and execute product validation and verification plans including test fixture design and data analysis.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing products focusing on cost reduction quality enhancement and performance optimization.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Manage project timelines budgets and resources for assigned product development activities.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters and project status.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards safety requirements and regulatory guidelines particularly related to low-voltage electrical systems and power distribution equipment.

Job Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Materials Science or a related technical field. Masters degree preferred.
4 years of experience in product development design engineering or a similar role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
High-level experience with SAP including strong understanding of integrated product manufacturing and project workflows; SCRUM Masterlevel familiarity with agile execution is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Procore or similar construction / project execution platforms.
Demonstrated experience with low-voltage switchgear and power distribution cabinet design integration or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and design control processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Creo AutoCAD) for design and analysis.
Experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g. machining stamping assembly electrical integration).
Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Project management experience is a plus.
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100 IATF 16949) is desirable.
