Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dimensional Maturation Engineer to support vehicle development within Body in White (BIW). This role plays a critical part in delivering worldclass gap & flush closures and dimensional quality for front and rear end vehicle systems from early build through to launch.
The successful candidate will apply metrology expertise and structured problemsolving to ensure dimensional conformity across BIW Trim & Final and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead dimensional maturation activities for front and rear closures including doors hood tailgate and associated interfaces
- Own gap & flush performance ensuring alignment to product and aesthetic targets
- Plan execute and interpret CMM measurement strategies for BIW and vehicle builds
- Analyse dimensional data to identify trends root causes and corrective actions
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers Process Engineers and Trim & Final teams to drive robust dimensional control
- Support build events pilot builds and launch readiness activities
- Apply statistical analysis (SPC variation studies) to drive capability improvements
- Influence tooling joining strategies fixturing and process changes to improve dimensional outcomes
- Support supplier and internal issue resolution related to dimensional quality

Qualifications :
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in Dimensional Maturation or Dimensional Engineering within the Automotive sector
- Strong understanding of Body in White construction and closures systems
- Handson experience with CMM measurement and dimensional data analysis
- Solid knowledge of gap & flush requirements and vehicle fit & finish standards
- Experience working crossfunctionally in highvolume manufacturing environments
- Strong problemsolving skills using structured methodologies (e.g. 8D DMAIC)
- Ability to interpret GD&T and technical drawings
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with digital metrology tools and dimensional simulation
- Experience supporting new model launches
- Knowledge of fixturing tooling maturation and process capability
