Senior Fullstack Engineer Mitigation Handling Platform

At Wise were on a mission to make financial services faster simpler and more accessible for everyone. To achieve our mission we also need to safeguard our platform against financial crime and ensure our customers money are safe. The Mitigation Handling Platform team plays a critical role in this by building tools that empower thousands of Wise Servicing agents from Singapore to Austin to effectively verify customers and mitigate risk securely. These tools function as an adaptable platform allowing other Wise product teams to evolve them to their specific needs while providing a standardized solution for scalable operations.

We are developing the infrastructure that provides teams at Wise with insights into their operational cost and bottlenecks on their operations processes. This empowers them to enhance the product reducing Wises cost for customers.

What Does Our Team Look Like

Were a cross-functional team of backend frontend engineers working hand-in-hand with a Product Manager Analyst Designer. Together we deliver adaptable impactful solutions as a platform for Wise Servicing Agents and Product Teams. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We value ownership knowledge sharing and a commitment to building stable scalable systems while embracing fast-paced learning and iteration.

What does success look like

• Youll be having a real world impact by building back office solutions that will enable Wise Servicing Agents across the world to verify Wise customers and keep their money safe.

• Youll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team and squad vision how you can contribute and grow the team further

• Youll understand how our values can help you guide your work

• Youll understand the reasons behind bottlenecks in Servicing processes and and how to go about solving them

• Youll understand our agents and the impact our product makes in their work 

What does it take

• Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience

• You thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience working effectively with globally distributed cross-functional peers like designers product managers and analysts

• Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value

Is that you

• 5 years of experience building Frontend Applications with familiarity with Typescript React user behaviour tracking and an eye for great API designs

• Experience designing developing and deploying scalable backend microservices

• Strong product thinking with the ability to challenge the status quo and propose new ideas and optimisations to existing solutions

• Comfortable working on big challenges and taking full ownership of the customer journey

• A track record of writing clean testable maintainable code and a strong belief in best practices like code reviews open feedback and continuous improvement

• Strong sense of good UX and design and great attention to detail

• Share our passion for accessible web applications
