Operations Manager

We are seeking an underground mining leader to step into the role of Mining Operations Manager at Beta Hunt.

This opportunity will appeal to either experienced contractorside Operations or Project Managers as well as proven underground leaders from a technical background who are ready to step up into broader operational accountability.

Offered on a four day on three days off roster or variant of 4:3 8:6 reporting to the Mining Manager you will lead safety production and cost performance across a complex underground environment.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong delivery discipline leadership maturity and the ability to execute at scale. You will set the benchmark for safety and operational excellence develop high-performing leaders and play a central role in delivering our mining plans.

The Role

With accountability across safety production and operational performance you will bring a deliveryfocused mindset to a flagship underground operation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting and leading safety standards across the underground operation
• Delivering underground production and project rampups at scale
• Driving measurable operational improvement through disciplined execution
• Exercising strong cost control and operational efficiency
• Managing workforce manning levels rosters and production forecasts
• Leading and developing 7 direct reports (Alt 4 x Supt and 2 x admin) and their teams
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver site plans and strategic objectives
• Embedding organisational values while fostering a practical highperformance culture

About You

We are looking for leaders who consistently deliver results and are ready to take on greater scope influence and accountability.

You may be:

• An experienced Operations Manager or Project Manager or
• A proven Underground Manager / Superintendent with demonstrated readiness to step into a broader operational leadership role

You will bring:

• Extensive underground mining experience (target 10 - 15 years)
• A peoplecentred leadership style with a focus on developing others
• Strong exposure to contractor delivery environments highly regarded though not essential
• Demonstrated capability leading large underground teams and complex scopes of work
• A track record of delivering production cost and safety improvements
• Sound understanding of underground mining best practice
• Credibility and presence to influence stakeholders and drive positive culture
