Position: Electro Mechanic I - Nights

Our company is located in Elk Grove Village Illinois and we are currently seeking an Electro Mechanic I to join our team on the night shift.

Job Summary:

The Electro Mechanic I will be responsible for troubleshooting repairing and maintaining industrial equipment and machinery. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems as well as the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on equipment
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals to diagnose and solve equipment problems
• Replace or repair defective parts using hand and power tools
• Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safe machine operation
• Work on motors contactors and relays using a multimeter to verify component functionality
• Operate advanced shop equipment such as band saws mills and lathes
• Maintain chillers process pumps compressors ink pumps and glue pumps
• Analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and PLC systems
• Use required personal protective equipment
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• You have industrial manufacturing experience or military experience troubleshooting repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Industry experience with blown film sheet extrusion flexographic printing lamination slitting or related ancillary equipment is preferred
• You have PLC troubleshooting experience and knowledge of industrial motor controls
• You can operate a forklift
• You are comfortable with lifts ladders kneeling bending twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds
• You can work independently while managing multiple tasks during off-shift hours
• You are comfortable with rotating schedules overtime and weekend work
