Commissioning Project Manager Renewable Energy

We are supporting a leading energy organization in identifying a Commissioning Project Manager to oversee the execution of renewable energy projects across wind solar and battery energy storage systems.

This role will act on behalf of the project owner managing commissioning startup and operational turnover across multiple active projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup activities for renewable energy projects ensuring safety quality and execution standards are met
• Manage and coordinate EPC contractors OEMs third-party vendors and operations teams
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously ensuring alignment with schedule cost and performance objectives
• Ensure successful operational turnover with minimal downtime and strong system reliability
• Maintain compliance with contractual requirements including interconnection and power purchase agreements
• Provide oversight and direction to commissioning teams across multiple sites
• Partner with internal stakeholders across engineering safety and quality control

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience supporting renewable energy project commissioning and startup
• 3 years of experience working with an EPC contractor on renewable energy projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction and commissioning practices (NEC NFPA)
• Experience with:
  • SCADA systems integration and troubleshooting
  • Protection & Controls and E&I systems
  • Inverter startup and communications
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills with both technical and field personnel
