Location: This is a hybrid role based in the Greater Philadelphia area with in-office collaboration required and some flexibility built into the schedule.

Note: Candidates must have an active U.S. bar license in good standing federal bar admission or eligibility and hands-on immigration law experience managing cases with limited supervision.

Job Description

  • Manage a caseload of immigration matters from intake through resolution with limited senior attorney oversight.
  • Handle at least two areas of immigration practice such as family-based petitions employment-based petitions asylum removal defense waivers or federal immigration litigation.
  • Develop case strategy make filing decisions communicate with clients and move matters forward efficiently.
  • Draft review and oversee immigration filings legal briefs motions support letters evidence packets and related documentation.
  • Appear in immigration court USCIS interviews hearings and other proceedings as applicable.
  • Supervise and support paralegal staff by assigning work reviewing output tracking deadlines and maintaining accountability.
  • Identify urgent issues flag bottlenecks and help keep cases progressing in a high-volume environment.
  • Communicate with government agencies including USCIS ICE immigration courts and the U.S. Department of State.
  • Contribute to firm systems workflow improvements case prioritization and overall operational momentum.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Active U.S. bar license in good standing required.
  • Federal bar admission required or strongly preferred.
  • 2 years of immigration law experience preferred especially in a high-volume law firm setting.
  • Experience independently managing immigration cases from start to finish.
  • Ability to handle at least two immigration practice areas without heavy supervision.
  • Experience supervising paralegals or legal support staff strongly preferred.
  • Removal defense immigration court asylum waivers or federal immigration litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing organization client communication and case management skills.
  • Spanish or another second language is a plus but not required.
