SALARY:$75000-$80000/year

JOB SUMMARY:
The Grant Manager provides organization-wide support for theArab AmericanFamily Support Centers grants &revenuecontracts portfolio including financial reporting vouchering budgeting variancereportsand audit GrantManagerwill liaise closely with internal staff as well as work with external funders and auditors in a professionalorganizedand confidentialmanner. Critical to success in the role the Grant Manager must effectively balance compliance requirements and program needs.
A successful Grant Manager must be able to learn new systems quickly solve problems creatively communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of financial literacy and self-manage multiple priorities comfortably. A commitment to immigrant refugee and low-income communities is essential for this role.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
- Develop implement andmaintaineffective financial systems and processes to support grant management and reporting.
- Ensureaccurateandtimelyprocessing of all grant-related financial transactions.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets funding agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and post journal entries; analyze general ledger activity
- Review and approveaccountspayable vouchers for assigned grant-funded programs.
- Collaborate withDevelopment teamand program staff to resolve budgeting reporting and compliance issues.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Prepare manage and revise grant budgets in collaboration with program managers.
- Generateaccurateandtimelyfinancial reports for grantorsin accordance withfunding requirements.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal state and localand privategrant regulations.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits including the provision of documentation schedules and explanations.
- Maintain complete and well-organized records of all grant-related financial activity.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with program managers and internal stakeholders toprovidefinancial insight and support for grant-funded initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with grantorsregardingfinancial status reporting requirements and compliance matters.
- Train and support staff on grant management policies procedures and best practices.
Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare andsubmitbudgets invoices schedules and workpapersin accordance withfunder guidelines and deadlines.
- Analyze grant financial data toidentifytrends variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend and implement enhancements tofinancial managementand reporting processes.
- Stay current on grant accounting standards regulatory updates and industry best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
BACKGROUND AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience with a strong focus ongrantsmanagement.
- Priorfiscal experience with NYC NYS federal and private grants and contracts.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and grant accounting principles.
- Prior experience supportingfundersand agency audits.
- Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel and Word accounting systems and standard workplace software.
- Sage Intacctexperience highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex fiscal scenarios and delivertimelyinsights.
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
