How You Will Make an ImpactThe role of Maintenance Electrician supports the industrial manufacturing operations at Reading Truck by performing maintenance troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic equipment. The Nuts and BoltsInspect maintain repair and overhaul electromechanical electrical control lighting wiring communications and solid-state electrical equipment using a variety of electrical test equipment meters powered and non-powered tools and equipmentInstall new electrical and electronic equipment according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standardsTroubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and equipmentPrepare install and assemble conduits and wiring through themPerform medium voltage switching (600 volts) and operate generators in support of operationsRead technician diagrams and prints. Accurately maintain document and revise diagrams and prints with any changesRequired CredentialsPrevious experience working as an electrician in an industrial environment - requiredCompletion of a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Program OR three out of the last five years journey-level experience as an electrician in the industrial maintenance fieldExperience with operation and use of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) units and other computer based equipment (including programming and troubleshooting)General knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations in industryMust have valid drivers licenseAbility to climb stand bend lift heavy objects in awkward and confined spacesAbility to work in an industrial setting with exposure to fumes dust vibration noise heavy machinery high voltage with the use of appropriate protective / safety equipment.
