Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York NY
Job Type: Contract (9 Weeks with high possibility of extension)

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay: $2600 $3300 (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Schedule: 5x7.5-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will utilize technical expertise to produce accurate diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety comfort and adherence to established protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures
• Position patients and coils appropriately to obtain optimal image quality
• Educate patients on procedures and ensure comfort throughout the exam
• Review and verify MRI safety questionnaires prior to scanning
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Radiology Information System
• Ensure MRI suite cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance
• Follow strict MRI safety protocols to prevent hazards
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams as needed

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy MRI physics and imaging techniques
• Excellent technical analytical and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Education:

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program

Certifications & Licensure:

• New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• ARRT (MRI) Certification required
• BLS (AHA) Certification required
• NYS DOH Radiography License required

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
