Job Summary
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled automation systems CNC machines robotics and electrical equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position requires strong technical expertise quick response to breakdowns and advanced problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair Allen-Bradley PLC systems using ladder logic
- Diagnose and resolve issues in HMIs servo systems motion control and CNC equipment
- Support Fanuc robot troubleshooting and basic programming adjustments
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics and control diagrams
- Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and production downtime
- Perform preventive maintenance on automation and electrical systems
- Document maintenance activities in CMMS
- Support safety compliance including LOTO OSHA and machine safety systems
Required Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in industrial controls or electrical troubleshooting
- Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic
- Experience with HMI systems servo drives motion control and CNC machinery
- Familiarity with industrial robotics (Fanuc preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience in automated manufacturing environments
- Strong troubleshooting diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PLC programming or modification experience
- Safety PLC and vision systems experience
- CNC programming exposure
- CMMS experience
- Mechatronics or Electrical Technology background (or equivalent experience)
Work Environment
- Contract-based position
- Fully floor-based hands-on manufacturing role
- High urgency support for equipment downtime and production needs
- Reports directly to Maintenance Manager
