Job Title: Ultrasonographer / Ultrasound Technologist (General / OB-GYN)

Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join a dynamic Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging team within a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across general abdominal OB/GYN and small parts imaging while ensuring exceptional patient care for pediatric adult and neonatal populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols
- Assist physicians and radiologists in obtaining accurate and high-quality diagnostic images
- Provide compassionate patient care across all age groups including pediatric and neonatal patients
- Review patient history and clinical information to support diagnostic accuracy
- Properly position patients and provide instructions to ensure optimal imaging results
- Identify document and promptly communicate significant findings to the appropriate physician
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in PACS and RIS systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Maintain imaging equipment through routine checks and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of ultrasound rooms and supplies
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent imaging needs as required
Required Qualifications
- Registered or registry-eligible with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Minimum of 6 months of ultrasound experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in general OB/GYN and small parts ultrasound
- Experience using PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care or hospital environment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric and neonatal cases
- Strong clinical judgment critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
